Update: Back to Square 1 Yet Again

Update: Back to Square 1 again. Novartis faxed the application to our regular doctor; they faxed it back without signing, with a note that this patient does not have an oncologist / hematologist treating her. Once again, we need an oncologist who would write us a prescription for Glivec. I have no idea where to look for one. As you see from the previous post, we have been turned down by two, they just won't see us. Novartis says, quote, "If you find a doctor who will write a prescription for your mother, we will service her," so at least on this end we have help available - IF and WHEN I find an oncologist, which I cannot do.

Mom and I will be flying to Moscow on May 12, where we will stay for 2 months. Hopefully, I'll get her meds there for these 2 months and maybe one more. What we will do when we are back and she runs out again, I have no idea. FYI: media attention I sought with this article isn't there, either. Not one of the media outlets I had sent it to has responded.
